As the Lotus App ramps up for launch, we are also spinning up the Private Alpha Program and opening up applications to users who are interested in providing feedback before the public launch. The Private Alpha Program

The Private Alpha Program is a period of time where we are inviting a small set of users to download and use the Lotus App ahead of the public launch, in exchange for providing feedback that would be critical to the launch experience.

Prerequisites

Since we are still pretty early in the development cycle, we can only accept users who meet certain requirements.

1. Must be subscribed to the Lotus App mailing list

   The initial outreach for the program will use this mailing list. Users on this mailing list may receive a questionnaire to gauge their interest in the program.

2. Must have a 64-bit Windows computer

   We’ve only targeted 64-bit Windows platforms for the Alpha release (see Why are only Windows users invited to the program?).

   Builds for other platforms (macOS and Linux) will depend on interest. If you don’t have access to a Windows machine but really want to try the Lotus App, let us know!

3. Other prerequisites TBD

   More prerequisites will be listed in the initial outreach communications, so be sure to stay subscribed!

Providing Feedback

While providing feedback is voluntary, we highly encourage you to submit feedback by reaching out. Your feedback will help prioritize bugs or features that will affect all other users of the app.

We may also periodically reach out to you directly over the course of the program. You may choose to reply with your feedback then.

Program Incentives

Every member of the Private Alpha Progam will be critical to improving the overall experience of the Lotus App. We’d like to extend our appreciation by offering the following rewards and incentives:

• Offer on a discounted price of a license key (%50 off)
  • The license key grants you perpetual (lifetime) access to the Lotus App, inclusive of updates (see the license agreement)
• Founder status for email account associated with a purchased license key

How to Apply

An interest form will be sent out to those who have subscribed to the Lotus App mailing list. This form will also describe additional requirements for participating in the program.

If you are interested in being a part of the program, respond by filling out the form, even if you do not meet all the requirements. Throughout the life of the program, these requirements will loosen, opening up eligibility to a wider audience.

When will the Private Alpha Program start?

The Private Alpha Program is expected to start around Summer ‘25. Outreach for interest and applications for will be sent shortly before - please be on the lookout in your inbox during this time.

How long will the Private Alpha Program last?

There is no definite timeline right now, but it will last at least a couple months.

Why are only Windows users invited to the program?

As an indie dev studio, we just don’t have the resources to focus on building for multiple platforms, so we’ve focused on what we think will have the largest initial reach. Other platforms (macOS and Linux) are still on the roadmap, though.

Priority for creating builds for macOS and Linux is dependent upon the amount of gaining interest for each platform. If you are looking forward to a macOS or Linux build, let us know!

What does Founder status mean?

For now, the Founder status is just an acknowledgement that your participation in the Private Alpha Program was paramount to the success of the Lotus App.
